We Meet Again!

During Christmas vacation we got to visit with Mommy's college roommate, her husband, and their daughter Braelyn!  Brae and I met when I was 5 weeks old and she was 3 months old.  Now I'm 5 months old and Braelyn is 7 months old.  We had a great visit and had lots of fun playing together.  We wish you guys lived closer!
I was so excited for them to come over!
Hi friend!
Want me to help you roll over?
Mommy and Mandi have know each other since they were babies!  I hope that Braelyn and I will be good friends when we grow up.

Merry Christmas

This year I got to celebrate the most magical time of the year for the first time...Christmas!  We had a great holiday season and I even got to sit on Santa's lap!  Daddy's work schedule worked out great this year and we were able to travel back to Indiana to celebrate with both sides of the family.  We made it back to Peoria just in time for Christmas Eve and Santa left me lots of goodies under the tree on Christmas morning.  Although I loved my gifts (or the wrapping paper), and all of the yummy food, I think that my favorite part of the holiday season was spending time with our family!  I can't wait to do this again next year!! :)
Our first Christmas as a family of 3.

I got my Rosie Dog!  She was on the top of my list! :)
Taking a break from all of the festivities to watch some Christmas movies.
Christmas giggles with Grandma Cindy.
Me and the "Big Guy".  I didn't cry or smile...I just sat there.  ;)
Of course before we went to bed on Christmas Eve we had to read "Twas The Night Before Christmas."
Grandma Becky and I on Christmas break.
Smiles with Grandpa Jim!
Mommy and Daddy thought that I made a pretty cute Christmas present. :)
Smiles with my Great Grandpa Bob.
Meeting my Great Grandma Corina for the very first time!
Daddy flying me around before bedtime!

And The Winner Is...

Back in December Mommy saw on Facebook that Baby Bullet was having a holiday photo contest.  The winner got a Baby Bullet baby food maker, a Baby Bullet food steamer, and a baby food cookbook.  Mommy really wanted a Baby Bullet to make me some yummy food and I'm always a willing model so...we entered the contest and guess what?  We won!!  My picture was chosen along with 4 other kids!  We couldn't believe it when Mommy opened her email.  Since we've gotten the Baby Bullet Mommy has made all of my baby food.  We highly recommend Baby Bullet! ;)

The Winning Photo

P.S. Don't worry, there will be NO toddlers and tiaras for us.  We just really wanted the Baby Bullet! :)

Rice Cereal

Since I haven't posted forever and I don't won't to forget the memories that we made during the past 5 months I think that I've got some backtracking to do so bear with me.  :)

Now that I'm getting older I get to try "solids"!  Mommy and Daddy were really excited to see how I would react to eating cereal.  As you can see...I LOVED it!  I think that I'm really going to like this eating thing. :)
Rice Cereal...the dinner of champions!

My first bite...

Success!

Where Has The Time Gone?

Umm....I think that we've gotten a little behind on updating the blog!  The last time that we posted I was 4 months old and looked like this...
I was still a "baby", couldn't sit by myself, and really liked my paci.
Now I am 9 1/2 months old and look like this...
I'm becoming such a big girl.  I crawl all over the place, pull up on everything, and have no interest in my paci anymore.

Note from Mommy:
I can't believe how quickly my sweet baby is turning into a little girl.  I was off to such a great start with the blog, but like usual I put it on the back burner and didn't make it a priority.  I was recently looking through pictures of Ashlyn and can't believe how much she has change in just a few months.  I am going to be better about updating the blog if for no one else I'm going to do it for myself.  For me this blog is like a virtual scrapbook that we will always have to look back on and relive these precious memories.

Sophie

One of my absolute favorite toys is Sophie the Giraffe! I really like to chew on her and she doesn't mind one bit. If Mommy or Daddy want me to smile all they have to do is squeak Sophie and my face lights up!
We're best buds, aren't we Soph?!
Sophie, you make teething just a tiny bit easier. :)
